Ground

From the Pokémon Wiki, a Pokémon encyclopedia
Jump to navigationJump to search

Ground is one of the eighteen types relating to Pokémon and moves.

Ground-type Pokémon are similar to Rock-type Pokémon in that both pertain to the earth's terrain, and both can usually be found in subterranean areas, caves, mountains, or other rocky terrain. Because of their similarities, there are many dual Ground and Rock-type Pokémon. Ground has been paired with every other type except Fighting and Fairy.

Ground-type moves specifically pertain to the ground and earth. Earthquake and Fissure are two well known examples of Ground-type moves. Prior to the Generation VI games, every Ground-type move is physical.
