Mission(s) | Rescue a pair of Magnemite |
Thunderwave Cave is the second dungeon in Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team and Blue Rescue Team. It is unlocked the day after the main character and their partner help Caterpie in the Tiny Woods. Thunderwave Cave is the first dungeon with version-exclusive Pokémon, Plusle and Minun, in Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team and Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Blue Rescue Team respectively.
In the Rescue Team Base mailbox is a request from a Magnemite to help its two Magnemite friends, who were affected by an electromagnetic wave that stuck them together in a partly-evolved form. Because two Magnemites is one short from the three needed to evolve into a Magneton, they needed help escaping from Thunderwave Cave.
Once the Magnemite is rescued, he rewards the rescue team with 500 poké, a Reviver Seed, and a Rawst Berry. One of the Magnemite later joins the rescue team, becoming their third member.
